Skellig Beag - Little Skellig - is the smaller of the two small, steep rocky outposts some 12 kms south-west of Valentia Island in County #Kerry.
The nearby larger SkelligMichael boasts several distinctions, notably the remains of a 6th Century Christian monastery. It was also a filming location for two #StarWars movies, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.
However SkelligBeag has its own attributes. It is home to one of the largest colony of northern gannets in the world - almost 30,000 pairs - making it a very crowded place indeed.
