Description
Poulnabrone Dolmen is one of Ireland's most treasured ancient monuments. It was erected during the Neolithic period, probably between 4200 BC and 2900 BC, to mark what we assume was an important burial place.
Despite the dolmen being there for maybe 6,000 years, I had to be extra quick to catch this image. Seconds later, a group of eager German sightseers came bounding into view. This is a very popular tourist attraction.
