Achill, situated off the coast of County Mayo, is Ireland's largest island.

There are people, however, who argue that it's not a proper island due to the 225 metre bridge which connects it to the mainland.

What is beyond dispute is that Achill has some of the most stunning scenery on the entire Irish west coast.

This image is the result of the happy confluence of a sunny morning, a row of colourful kayaks and an unusual cloud formation over Slievemore, the island's highest point.
