Classiebawn Castle is one of Ireland's most instantly recognisable landmarks.
Its location overlooking the Atlantic near the coastal village of Mullaghmore in County Sligo, is one of the most spectacular in Ireland.
This stunning edifice was built in the 19th century for Henry John Temple, the third Viscount Palmerston, who became the first Liberal Prime Minister of Britain in 1859, serving two terms in that position.
In more recent times, it is best remembered as the summer residence of Britain's Earl Louis Mountbatten.
In the background is the mighty Ben Bulben - here mostly obscured by late evening cloud, creating a haunting and quite dramatic effect.
