Description
The seaside town of Kilkee has been a favourite haunt of Limerick people for many generations past. When I was growing up in Limerick, the words Kilkee and holidays meant the very same thing.
But there were no holidaymakers or day trippers on the damp cold November evening when this wonderful image presented itself.
The quaint little bandstand - like something out of a children's colouring book - gave itself up gradually to a truly spectacular winter sunset.
For about ten glorious minutes, the almost deserted Kilkee seafront became a fairyland of magical colour.
One could return to this spot again and again and never get an image this special.
